Reflection
One of the most prevalent compositional elements in this photo is the leading lines. The natural lines created by the stone at the bottom of the photo and the roof at the top leads the observers eyes across the image. The texture created by the brick draws the audience in so that their eyes come across the focal point of the photo, the window. The window in this photograph is fairly far from the photographer in a position right above. All but a small portion of the glass in the window is invisible to the viewer, only the frames are seen.
This window image in particular isn't expressing much on a deeper level. Despite this, time, weather, lighting, location and color have an impact on the mood of the photo. The weather was clear, as anyone can see observing the sky. The sun had just barely begun to set which affected the lighting of the photograph. Golden hour had just set in and a slight yellow hue was cast upon the already orange bricks. All these elements contribute towards a warm feeling in the photo. |
